David Farkas – Climber/Guide

In August of 2011 I checked off an item on my bucket list, climb a mountain. I’ve always been an avid backpacker/hiker and decided it was time to step up and take it to the next level. I signed up with the American Alpine Institute in Bellingham, a world renown climbing organization, to do a 3 day skills and climb.  David Farkas was my main guide on the trip and couldn’t have done a better job of teaching and guiding us up  and down the mountain.

David had since left the area to guide elsewhere but returned long enough for us to do a little portrait session at Artist Point. I had a great time photographing David and hope to climb again with him in the future. Enjoy the photos!
